 Kyle McNutt
Executive Director
Kyle has been involved in ministry, specifically in the areas of youth ministry and outreach, for over fifteen years. He served as an intern in the Children’s Ministries and the Student Ministries departments of Trinity Church, Lubbock, TX, before becoming the Director of Frontline Ministries, a ministry focused on outreach to the poor and forgotten in the community, in 1998. Kyle served as the Pastor of Student Ministries at Live Oak Community Church, Lubbock, TX, for three years before leaving in 2006 to begin encounterGOD ministries. Kyle has served as the Executive Director of encounterGOD since November of 2006, and he is actively involved in each of the ministry areas, including ministry to children/teens, developing “community missions” in multi-housing communities in the city, and developing interns who help to grow the ministry of encounterGOD or take the vision of encounterGOD to their hometowns and other geographical areas.

 Ellis Dean
Outreach Director
Ellis graduated from Texas Tech University in 1979 with a B. S. Degree in Animal Science. He worked as a sales manager for a national livestock feed and animal health company for ten years. In 1989, Ellis answered God’s to vocational ministry and began seminary training. Since that time he has served in ministries located in Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, and South Carolina. These ministry positions include youth and college, missions, church planting, and serving as pastor of local congregations. In addition, he has served with a number of mission projects in the United States, Mexico, Belize, and Kenya. Currently, as Outreach Coordinator with encounterGOD ministries, Ellis is actively involved in ministry and mentoring with children and teens, a local Christian youth center, church planting, chaplaincy with Mission Lubbock (provides food, clothing, household items, and pastoral ministry to low income families), and training of volunteer ministers.

 Stephen Simpson
Director of Youth Mentoring
Stephen currently serves in a volunteer capacity as encounterGOD’s Director of Youth Mentoring. He is the owner of Jesus Freak Tees, a Christian t-shirt company dedicated to boldly and unapologetically proclaiming God's truth. Stephen and his wife, Michele, have a strong passion for seeing teenagers grow in their relationship with Jesus, and they work diligently to turn teenagers into devoted disciples. They are also committed to raising up leaders who will invest their time mentoring teenagers in all aspects of life.
