Although we believe it is always the responsibility of Christians to care for those in their own backyards who are in need, we also believe that our vision should be much larger! While the battle rages amongst our politicians concerning issues such immigration, national borders, etc., for the Christian, we must never be satisfied with simply "taking care of our own", if by "our own" we mean those with whom who share a national citizenship. The Scriptures are clear that our citizenship is in Heaven, and that God cares about more than just the people living in America! God really does care about the people in other nations, and therefore, we should to! Therefore, we have made international missions an integral part of the ministry at encounterGOD.

Our current international missions focus centers on an annual Spring Break trip to Juarez, Mexico, during which we partner with a ministry called Casas por Cristo. With a team of students and adults, we are able to construct a small house for a family in Juarez from the ground up - in just a few days! Although we are always looking to expand our international missions focus, we feel very blessed to have a partnership with such an incredible ministry!
